JR

Sun Jammer Host Jeff R. appeared in the
Thurs. Dec. 30 Daily Democrat Sports Section in the Football Predictors Column.
(How come the camera gave him a "double chin?) Jeff R. has been a Predictor in past
years and has done pretty good. Let's see how he does this week! There are some pretty tough
choices with the NFL no longer having too many consistently strong teams.
Rumor has it JR had some help with the College games from Texas
City Bassist Roger Phillips. Remember this is an amateur contest with no Money (not even
Ludybucks) changing hands!

The Three J's will be playing
their first Gig on Saturday the 18th of December. They will be playing
along with The Texas City Band. The Three J's band members are Jeff R.,
Jeff M. and John M. Rumor has it the a possible fourth "J" will
be joining the group on Gig Night to sing the Stone's tune, Dead
Flowers." Who is the fourth "J" you ask? It's none other
than "Six Pack Jack." It sounds like it will be a fun night.
Jughead

Jeff R. has upgraded the P.A. System at
the Musical Club House! It sounds great. So now guys...try to sing in
key...we can hear ya now!! Way to go Jeff.

Jeff,
Steve Putman is our new bass player. I met him during my years of playing with the
Rockestra. He and Kurt are longtime buddies.
We miss John but are happy to have Steve in the fold. They are both excellent player but different styles. It has
helped us make a change in direction. This band wants to be tight and have fun.
The new line up is: Chris, Tony, Lance, Jack, Kurt and Steve (Putnam)
So here is some News for your gossip column. We are making a significant change in our band. We been trying to
come up with a catchy name that is funny for the new lineup that will reflect the new set of music we are playing.
The Naked Slave Boys has recently been a debate but I would say we like the name but some of the wives say
"What!"
So how about some suggestions?
See we are shifting to more Steely Dan, Styx, The Tubes, Thin Lizzy, Jethro Tull,
Doors, Toto, Tears for Fears, etc.
Thanks for all you have done between yourself and Gary with the website. Particularly keeping us online
as a Link, etc.
Many thanks to you both
Lance and the NS Boys

While the Stingrays
were playing for the "Class of 64" reunion, there was a foul
stench that hovered over the stage area. The stink hung around for the
full length of "Born on the Bayou." As if that was not
enough!.........just as the air was clearing......another cloud of quite
possibly the foulest smell ever to come out of a human being, wove it's
way through the stage area! While Mark was putting the blame on Jughead,
Jughead was blaming Jay and I'm not sure if John ever got blamed, we
came to the conclusion that sense Leila and Sherri aren't in the band, it
must have been one of the dancers.
